Sweet and Dry

  • Woodridge Branch, DC Public Library 1801 Hamlin Street NE Washington, DC 20018 (map)

I’ll be taking part in a conversation that is part of a partnership between Domestique Wine and the DC Public Library that explores the intersections of taste and identity. The conversation for this panel initially began around the idea of breaking down the concepts of "sweet" and "dry." These two descriptors are used regularly as ways for people to not only describe what they enjoy in terms of taste but also to project how they want to be seen (and, of course, influence how others see them). The goal is really to invite a transparent and honest conversation about the perceptions and connotations surrounding taste.
