W. Ralph Eubanks will deliver the keynote address for the 2026 Eudora Welty Writers’ Symposium. The theme for this year's symposium is “''Like a Visitor from Nowhere': Encounters in the Uncanny South." It is inspired by Eudora Welty's story "Moon Lake" from The Golden Apples. All sessions will be held in Connie Sills Kossen Auditorium of Poindexter Hall at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, Mississippi, and also live-streamed for those who can't attend in person.
